Our priority is keeping people safe.
Normally, when you contact us, we will keep your information confidential. However, if we think that you or another person are unsafe, we will ask other organisations for help and we will share your information with them.
For example, if we thought you or someone else was in danger, we would contact emergency services (e.g. the police or ambulance service)
We take your confidentiality very seriously and will only share you information with another organisation if we are really worried about you or the safety of someone else.
Our service supports adults with a criminal record and some of those adults may be vulnerable. We also understand that a child may be in the family or network of the adults we support and that their safeguarding is important.
As a charity, our Trustees are responsible for making sure that we keep people safe. We expect all our staff and volunteers to follow our Policies and Procedures.
Staff and Trustees take part in Safeguarding andTrauma-Awareness Training.
Our internal Safeguarding Policy, Safeguarding Procedures and Child Protection Policy are all available on request.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact the Chair of the Board of Trustees on: chair@nextchapterscotland.org.uk.
